New Gap Logo
Definitely not a fan of the new Gap Logo or their rebranding. This redesign is much too drastic – and drastically bad – considering this is one of the most iconic American clothing brands. This new logo is now joining the one of many logos set in Helvetica. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Helvetica, but this was not an appropriate application at all. And as stated perfectly in Under Consideration’s Brand New, “it looks as if it were done in Microsoft Word” and “is just too unsophisticated” for what up until now, has been known as a sophisticated brand. (Oh, and I won’t even mention the gradated square…) Check out the new logo’s “tweet account“. Pretty hilarious.
